Levin: 'I'll Bring Half a Million People' to WWII Memorial if You Lay 'One Damn Hand' on Veterans

Conservative talk radio Mark Levin said Wednesday if the Obama administration lays “one damn hand” on any World War II veteran trying to see their memorial that he would bring “half a million people” to it.

The Obama administration closed the World War II Memorial as part of the government shutdown and even threatened veterans on Honor Flights with potential arrests if they went past what is being called “Barrycades.”

“I want to say this loud and clear to the people on Capitol Hill who are listening, to this administration. You lay one damn hand on one of those World War II vets at that memorial and I’ll bring half a million people to that damn memorial! You got that?!” Levin said in remarks on is radio show captured by the Right Scoop. “I’m sitting here stewing thinking about this – playing these damn games? You’ll ignite a movement in this country like you’ve never seen before! The biker patriot army – veterans from all over the country, every single war and battle in this country, Republican, Democrat, Independent, whatever!”

Levin said, “you’re not going to push around that generation” and “you’re not going to stop us.”

“You’ve been warned!” Levin said. “Shove it.”

Other conservatives like Sarah Palin called on wednesday for Obama administration officials to engage in “civil disobedience” and allow World War II veterans unfettered access to their memorial.

“Enough is enough,” Levin said, saying that he took this “very personally” because his grandfather fought in Iwo Jima and his great uncle fought in Guadalcanal and would be damned if “this community activist is going to shut down their memorial.”

Levin also said he would be “damned if one president, with his feet up on the desk in the oval office, with a smirk on his face, looking at his golf card…I’ll be damned if this president or anybody else is going to shut down that WWII memorial. Period! These men are in their 80s and 90s.”

“They beat the Germans. They beat the Nazis. They beat the Japanese. They beat fascist Italy, and I’m not going to allow one person, this administration, these people to beat them now that they are in their eighties and nineties,” Levin said. “No damn way.”

Levin said, “Now it’s up to you and me to protect them. You keep your damn hands off of them. And I’m not joking. You keep that damn memorial open or hundreds of thousands of us will open it for you.”

“You lay one hand on one of those men and arrest them for going to their memorial, which they fought for, which was not paid by you dammit, it was paid by the American people – we will come out of every town and city in this nation!” he said. “We will come out of every county. And both coasts! Both borders! And we will march on Washington against your tyranny!”
