Sen. Joe Manchin, (D-VA) is defending Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius from calls for her resignation over the failed Obamacare rollout. Sunday, on ABC’s This Week, he said:
If you’re wanting to kill the program and you start making all these changes, that would kill the program. All we’re asking for is–don’t have the fine go into place, get market-driven products… we are a consumer nation. We have the great entrepreneurs. We can make this happen, but we’ve all got to be on the same team right now, and that’s Team America to make this happen.
Manchin has called for a one-year delay in the implementation of penalties for Americans who hadn’t acquired insurance by the current deadline. He bloviated that ObamaCare can succeed if politicians, insurance companies, and those who work in health care join “Team America” and work together.
