White House Silent on Obama's Scant Sebelius Meetings

President Barack Obama’s White House is silent on the new report that the president only met with Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius one time since Obamacare became law, Breitbart News has learned.

As Breitbart News’ Wynton Hall detailed on Wednesday evening, a “stunning new study” first reported by Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday night conducted by the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) found “that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch.”

“Can you send an email to Media Affairs,” a staffer at the White House told Breitbart News when asked for comment on the matter via phone on early Thursday afternoon. After Breitbart News sent an email seeking comment, no response has come from the White House either challenging the report’s findings or confirming them.

Similarly, a spokesman for HHS, when reached by phone by Breitbart News on early Thursday afternoon, said, “if you want a response, the best way to do it is to send a request” to the agency’s media request email address. By Thursday evening, HHS has still not responded to a request for comment from Breitbart News.

Hannity also asked why the White House has not responded to the matter. “Did Jay Carney or anybody give any response to this whatsoever? I know you tried,” Hannity asked Schweizer when he appeared on his program Wednesday night.

“No, there’s been no response from the White House,” Schweizer answered Hannity. “Their position right now, I think, is pretty difficult, because the outline and launch of Obamacare has been a disaster. So, to a certain extent, I think they’re leaving Sebelius out there to kind of dry, hang out on her own, which I think frankly is a little bit unfair.”

At the end of the segment, Hannity added: “We’re going to continue to follow it up, and see if one of the White House correspondents asks about that question.”

At the White House press briefing on Thursday, no White House correspondents asked about the report.
