George W Bush HHS Sec: GAI Report Shows Why Obamacare Has Had 'So Many Problems'

President George W. Bush’s former Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson said the stunning Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report that found President Barack Obama did not have a single one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since Obamacare passed over three years ago shows why the Obamacare rollout has been a disaster.

Appearing on Fox Business Network last week, Thompson was asked about the report from the nonpartisan institute that host Stuart Varney said was “extraordinary.”

“I think that’s probably one of the reasons they’re having so many problems with the rollout,” Thompson said.

He contrasted the Obamacare rollout with his HHS Department’s rollout of the Medicare Part D program last decade. Thompson said President George W. Bush was more “hands-on” than Obama and “tasked us” to implement his healthcare legislation, even though conservatives thought it was an unnecessary expansion of government.

Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and GAI President Peter Schweizer had previously said there was no evidence on the White House schedule that showed Obama cared about Obamacare

“In the case of President Obama, if you look at his calendar, there is no evidence whatsoever that he is focused or has much interest in health care at all,” Schweizer said on Fox News’s Hannity on Wednesday.
