Phil Gingrey: GAI Report Proves Obama Admin's 'Incompetence' or 'Gamesmanship'

On Monday, Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA) told Breitbart News that the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report on the lack of contact between Barack Obama and Kathleen Sebelius demonstrates the administration is either “incompetent” or engaging in “political gamesmanship.”

Gingrey, a medical doctor, said Sebelius and Obama must provide answers about whether they met and what was discussed if they did. He sees disturbing hints in the report for “patients, taxpayers, and job creators.” Sebelius is scheduled to testify before a House subcommittee on Wednesday to answer these questions.

Though the Obama administration and the Health and Human Services Department alleged last week that Obama and Sebelius meet “regularly,” the only date of a meeting between Obama and Sebelius it could provide was last Thursday, one day after the Government Accountability Institute report was released.

Gingrey said there is “too much at stake for these questions to go unanswered” because healthcare “comprises one sixth our economy, and Obamacare comes with [a $2.1-trillion-dollar] price tag.”

“The botched rollout of Healthcare.gov, its myriad delays, and the lack of transparency from the administration demonstrate either total incompetence or political gamesmanship,” he continued. “Either scenario is disastrous for patients, taxpayers, and job creators.”

Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer appeared on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 and said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, whom ABC and NBC grilled concerning the report, seemed “very uncomfortable” last Friday because he was not armed with facts and dates to counter the GAI report.
