Washington Obamacare Taking Customers' Money Earlier than Authorized

The government stealing your money is now even more real. The Washington Healthplanfinder website is down for the second week in a row, and some people have had money taken from their accounts earlier than they had authorized. Shannon Bruner of Indianola, examining her checking account Monday morning, saw she was almost 800 dollars in the red. She said, “The first thing I thought was, ‘I got screwed.'” In October, she and her husband Josh enrolled on the Washington Healthplanfinder website, and picked the bill pay date to be December 24th.

Sorry, folks; the website withdrew their money on Monday, December 9.

Shannon said, “Big knot in my gut because we’re trying to keep it together. It’s important to me that this kind of stuff doesn’t happen. We’ve got to figure out how to get money to pay the bills for the next week or two until we have another check come through. It’s just crazy.”

One viewer emailed KING 5 and said the same thing happened on their account, saying, “They drafted my account this morning for a second time.”

Another woman on Facebook added, “We are all in the same boat.”

Washington Healthplanfinder emailed the Bruners alerting them to look at their invoice online. One problem: the website has been down. The helpline was constantly busy, so the Bruners sent Healthplanfinder a message on its Facebook page.

Josh added, “We wrote a check to our nanny last week, it isn’t going to work. So she can’t get paid.” Shannon Bruner concluded, “We haven’t bought anyone’s Christmas gifts yet. We’re just kind of waiting.”
