Eleven GOP Attorneys General Blast Unconstitutional Obamacare Changes

Eleven Republican attorneys general have sent a letter to embattled Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius slamming the Obama administration for endless Obamacare changes that it calls “flatly illegal under federal constitutional and statutory law.”

The letter, written by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, states: “We support allowing citizens to keep their health insurance coverage, but the only way to fix this problem-ridden law is to enact changes lawfully: through Congressional action.”

The letter added, “The illegal actions by this administration must stop.”

Joining Morrisey are attorneys general from Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia.

The letter also blasts the Obama administration for ignoring “the widespread public outcry over the security of consumers’ private information.”

The attorneys general are not alone in their alarm. Legal scholars have raised questions over the constitutionality of the Obama administration’s myriad “on the fly” changes and delays to the highly unpopular Obamacare law.
