Guns, Bullets, Happiness: A 2014 SHOT Show Preview

Guns, Bullets, Happiness: A 2014 SHOT Show Preview

The 2014 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada will be held January 14th-17th. It is the world’s largest gathering of professionals involved in shooting sports, law enforcement, and hunting.

It consists of “more than 1,600 exhibitors, filling booth space covering 630,000 square feet.” Various firearm manufacturers will introduce new guns for hunting, law enforcement, sport, and self-defense, in addition to new firearm accessories, optics, and options.

New ammunition for hunting, law enforcement, and self-defense will be introduced as well.

The SHOT Show is owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and attendance is restricted to those involved in the firearm trade and the media who cover it.

Breitbart News is sending Kerry Picket and AWR Hawkins to this year’s SHOT Show.

Picket is going to visit with law enforcement personnel about a larger project on gun confiscation in America: so-called “legal confiscation,” where someone who speeds or otherwise violates a traffic law while in possession of a firearm has that firearm seized and held for a time.

Hawkins’ focus will be on new handguns for self-defense–guns like the Glock 42–and on new offerings in AR-15s from Smith & Wesson, Bushmaster, Daniel Defense, and others.

The writers will be taking photos of new guns and gun accessories and posting those on the Breitbart News site.

Hawkins will be a guest on NRA News, which will broadcast live from the SHOT Show at noon (PST) on January 14th.
