Joe Biden: LaGuardia Could Be Mistaken for '3rd World Country'

Vice President Joe Biden, following Barack Obama’s lead in never missing a chance to disparage America relative to the rest of the world, said Thursday that New York’s LaGuardia Airport feels like it’s “in some third world country.”

Speaking in Philadelphia at an event highlighting Amtrak’s unveiling of its newest engine, Biden said, “If I blindfolded someone and took them at 2:00 in the morning into the airport in Hong Kong and said ‘Where do you think you are,’ they’d say, ‘This must be America, it’s a modern airport… But if I blindfolded you and took you to LaGuardia Airport in New York, you must think, ‘I must be in some third world country.’ I’m not joking.”

Biden, partnered with Obama in his mismanagement of the U.S. economy, lamented that economy’s decline: “Why did we lead the world economically for so long? We had the most modern infrastructure in the world.”
