Checkout line fight turns deadly at Arizona Walmart

CHANDLER, Ariz., Feb. 17 (UPI) —

A checkout line fight at a Walmart store in Chandler, Ariz., Sunday afternoon escalated into gunfire that left one man dead, police said.

The Chandler Police Department said the 36-year-old man was shot just after 4 p.m. and died later at a hospital, the (Phoenix) Arizona Republic reported. The shooter fled the scene.

The episode was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras.

Police said a 25-year-old Chandler resident was being questioned as the possible gunman but hadn’t labeled him a suspect, the newspaper said.
