CPAC Scrambles to Add Ukraine Panel in Response to 'Uninvited II'

The Conservative Political Action Convention will have a Ukraine panel after all.

As late as Monday, the topic was missing from an agenda released by the American Conservative Union, which hosts the event. But, according to an email from ACU Chairman Al Cardenas reviewed by Breitbart News, the group is scrambling to put together a panel on the topic.

“Moving quickly to implement your Ukraine/Russia panel: would you like to host it? Any suggestions re panelists?” Cardenas wrote to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich had just notified a group of conservative leaders via email he was dropping out of a national security summit co-hosted by Breitbart News because of his objections to the tone of an earlier Breitbart story announcing some of the speakers at the event, titled “The Uninvited II: The National Security Action Summit.”

The “Uninvited II” is taking place on Thursday during CPAC at the nearby Westin Hotel at National Harbor from 8 AM until after 4 PM. Tickets are available for free, but prior registration is required at HomelandThreats.com. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is the latest confirmed speaker.
