With numerous new guns laws put in place in New Jersey last year and even more gun control being pushed right now, gun rights proponents in the state are reaching out to Colorado recall organizers.
On September 10, 2013, Coloradans successfully recalled state senators John Morse (D-Colorado Springs) and Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) over their support of draconian gun control measures.
Breitbart News spoke with Official Colorado Recall Spokeswoman Jennifer Kerns on March 18. She said organizers in New Jersey have begun inquiring about the structure of those recalls as they consider organizing their own.
She said they have spoken with Colorado Recall founder Tim Knight, “who gave them advice and a road map, of sorts, of what they can expect to face.”
For all the differences between Colorado and New Jersey, Kerns said there are numerous similarities–including the fact that one of the biggest proponents of gun control in NJ is senate president Steve Sweeney (D-Gloucester). One of the biggest proponents of gun control in CO was senate president John Morse, whom Coloradans successfully recalled last year.
