Potential 2016 presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said that he was “totally committed” to pushing for the Common Core, even in the face of increasing resistance from conservatives and liberals who are coalescing against it.
Speaking to Fox News’ Shannon Bream at the Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M on Sunday, Jeb Bush insisted that he would continue to push for the top-down education standards.
“I just don’t feel compelled to run for cover, when I feel like this is the right thing to do for our country,” Bush said.
Bush also said that he believed illegal immigration was an “act of love,” not something Americans should get “riled up about.”
