Hillary Clinton Favorability Rating Tumbles to Lowest Since 2008

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s favorability rating is at its lowest point since 2008.

A Fox News poll released on Thursday found that 49 percent of Americans viewed her favorably, while 45 percent viewed her unfavorably.

The Washington Post noted that the last time “her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46.”

Clinton’s numbers usually tumble, as they did in 2008, when she is running for office. They go up when she is not. And the slide in her favorability ratings may mean that Americans are already viewing her as a presidential candidate, even though she has not formally declared her candidacy.
