Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) believes if the midterms elections were held today, Republicans would win control of the Senate.
Cruz reminded conservatives that they should be focused on winning control of the Senate.
Cruz explained that it was also crucially important for strong conservatives like T.W. Shannon to join him in the Senate to fight the Washington D.C. establishment.
Shannon, Cruz explained, would stand up and fight in spite of the “slings and arrows” thrown in his direction.
Cruz pointed out that his Senate predecessor former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), decided to shake up the Republican establishment in 2010 by helping underdog conservatives like Sens. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA).
When asked about Shannon’s race, Cruz pointed out the Republicans did not “pigeonhole” minorities like Democrats.
