Palin: If I Were in Charge… Waterboarding Is How We'd 'Baptize Terrorists'

At a “Stand and Fight” rally at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention in Indiana on Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said if she were in charge of the country, America would put the fear of God in its enemies and they would find out that “waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

Palin said the country’s founders knew that “our inherent right to defend life, liberty and property had to be enshrined” in the Constitution and realized “that if the Second Amendment goes, the rest of the Constitution is not far behind.”

“If you control arms, you control the people, and that is what they’re trying [to do],” Palin said of liberals who want to disarm Americans or, as has been suggested recently by Attorney General Eric Holder, have gun owners wear identifying bracelets.

Palin blasted the Obama administration for calling the “devil” that is the Fort Hood terrorist Nadal Hassan a “disgruntled employee” while referring to American patriots who want to protect the constitution and themselves “terrorists.”

She called out anti-gun mayors and celebrities for promoting gun control while they are protected by guns just like banks and airports are. She also said that gun-free zones “were stupid on steroids.”

Palin also said the assault on the Second Amendment represented a broader attack on America’s foundational values and traditions. She said that the left that preaches tolerance and free speech loses their minds when a kid says a prayer in school but are silent when kids cuss in Tarantino films.

She blasted the Obama administration for poking America’s allies “in the eyes” while coddling its enemies and then slammed Obama for slashing benefits to veterans. As she has said in the past, Palin spoke about her identifying bracelets that honor veterans and said, “Hey Holder, you don’t want to go there buddy.”

She noted that one of her identifying bracelets says “don’t tread on me” before saying, “you can have these bracelets when you pry them past my cold, dead hands.”
