Man Accused of Killing Pregnant Woman Brags of Murder on Twitter

The family of a pregnant woman who was shot and killed in Pittsburgh last week was shocked to find that her accused murderer bragged about the crime on Twitter.

After the crime, the suspect, Karrese Lawrence, using the name “President Kolumbo,” reportedly tweeted about his crime.

Victim Lauren Williams’ family alerted police about his social media account and provided the media with screenshots of the Twitter postings.

According to WPXI, one tweet said, “Go watch da news I’ll be on dere.” Another said, “Show I smoked her.” Yet another crowed, “Call me a murder.”

Williams, 20-years-old, was three months pregnant when she was pronounced dead at 10:45 p.m. on April 30.

Police report that Williams was on her way home from planning her baby shower when Lawrence, the victim’s boyfriend, came across her path after he exited a building. The report charges that Lawrence shot the pregnant woman in the head.

“Lauren was a God gift to me, and God had to come back and get her,” Williams’ mother, Laurell Harbour, told the media.

“Lauren was good people. She was a good person–inspirational and in high spirit. She was a diamond,” the mother continued.

Twenty hours after Williams was shot, police put out a warrant for Karrese Lawrence. A day later, police found him in his home but heard gunshots as they approached. The SWAT team was called immediately.

Eventually, police found Lawrence inside, “dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

The accused murderer had a record of small drug busts, a gun charge, and a conspiracy charge.
