White House Petition Demands Punishment for Bowe Bergdahl

A group of Americans are demanding that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl be punished after the Obama administration secured his release from the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The petition was created on Saturday, May 31 after President Obama announced that the United States had secured Bergdahl’s release.

The United States freed five Taliban prisoners in exchange for Bergdahl’s release.

Currently the petition has 1,799 signatures — over 98,000 more signatures are needed to reach the goal of 100,000 signatures by June 30 in order for the White House to respond.
