Obama: 'No Apologies' for Bergdahl Deal; 'This Is Somebody's Child'

President Obama dismissed the controversy surrounding his deal with the Taliban for five Guantanamo detainees in exchange for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdhal, adding that he would not apologize.

Using a golf metaphor, Obama dismissed criticism in Washington, D.C. about the deal.

Obama said that he would not apologize for bringing Bergdhal home.

Obama said he purposefully highlighted Bergdahl’s release in the Rose Garden last Saturday to remind people of the importance of his release.

Obama added that as Commander in Chief he felt the need to act quickly
