Arthritis Drug Helps Hairless Man Regrow Full Head of Hair

A 25 year old man who had lost all of his body hair — head, eye brows, facial and body hair — now has hair everywhere he is supposed to, including the top of his head, thanks to an arthritis drug

The man in the study, who was suffering from alopecia universalis and  plaque psoriasis, went to see Dr. Brett A. King, assistant professor of dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine, who thought both ailments could be treated with a single drug used for rheumatoid arthritis called tofacitinib citrate.

Within eight months the patient’s hair had fully recovered throughout his body with no negative side effects.
