Country music star Kix Brooks has been recruited by Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) for a new radio ad to defend his conservative record in the Senate.
Brooks, one half of superstar country music duo Brooks & Dunn, is also the host of the popular radio show “American Country Countdown” and “Kickin’ It With Kix.”
Brooks reminds Tennessee anglers that Alexander worked with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) to fight the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers attempt to restrict fishing below the dams.
The ad was launched Sunday as part of a series of radio spots featuring Alexander’s political record, and his contributions to the state of Tennessee.
The ad also highlights Alexanders record as a governor who “literally brought the auto industry” to the state and worked to build the state’s four-lane highway system with zero road debt.
Brooks is also part of the newly announced “American Country Countdown Awards” a new country music awards show presented by FOX, Cumulus, and Dick Clark Productions.
