Bloomberg's Gun Control Group Has 'No Influence,' Produces No Results

On July 7, CNN’s John King told the Associated Press’s Julie Pace that Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety has demonstrated “no influence” in the coming November elections.

Pace concurred, saying Bloomberg’s gun control efforts have yet to garner results.

The two spoke on Inside Politics, where King said:

The NRA is a powerful force, often in mid-term elections where turn out is low because they can motivate a smaller segment [of voters]. This is will be interesting to see. At the moment we’ve seen no influence, that this Everytown USA group is changing a race out there. But [there are] 120 days until the elections so we’ll keep an eye on this.

Pace agreed, saying that if it could be done Bloomberg should be able to do it because he “has a lot of money [and] is a well known figure.” But “the results simply haven’t been there for him.”
