Chris Christie Takes On ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie recently joined the Ice Bucket Challenge, allowing his children Patrick and Bridget to dump a bucket of ice water on his head to bring attention to ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

The puzzling but popular challenge requires you to act if a friend nominates you to participate. According to the rules, either you donate $100 to charity or you post a video of yourself dumping a bucket of ice water on your head while nominating three other friends.

The ALS Association has raised $1.35 million in two weeks, thanks to the wacky internet challenge, according to the Washington Post.

Christie was challenged by New Jersey Devils Chief Executive Officer Scott O’Neil, and Christie nominated Sen. Cory Booker, comedian Jimmy Fallon, and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg in response.
