Politico reports that Barack Obama will take time out from golfing to join Hillary Clinton and Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) at the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington on Sept. 18-19.
The welcome reception will be hosted by Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of the Vice President. Feminist icon Gloria Steinem will also attend, along with speakers including Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden, and EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock, along with Wasserman Schultz.
Meeting up again on September 19, Clinton and Wasserman Schultz will join Jane Rosenthal of the Tribeca Film Festival to headline another event in New York City benefiting the DNC.
Clinton will fly to San Francisco after the NY event, where she will join House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Oct. 20 for an event on behalf of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
