Secretary of State John Kerry called Islamic State terrorists “one of the most dangerous groups that I have seen in my time in public life.”
Kerry made his remarks during an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, reminding viewers that ISIS has a “radical extremist philosophy” and a “cultish attitude.”
Kerry also explained that he was concerned that ISIS had access to funding and resources making them a bigger threat world-wide.
The threat was spreading, he noted, referring to a group arrested in Australia for a beheading plot.
On Monday, Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani called for their followers to attack U.S., French, Canadian, Australian nationals, according to Reuters.
