NRA: Georgia Candidate Michelle Nunn Shares Bloomberg's 'Anti-Freedom' Views

On September 22, The NRA launched a new television ad campaign highlighting ties between anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg and Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn (Georgia).

The ads will air in Augusta, Macon, and Savannah.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the NRA’s Jennifer Baker said:

Georgia voters deserve to know that same anti-freedom Michael Bloomberg who tells us what to drink, what to eat, and how to protect ourselves, is spending millions to elect candidates across the country that will enact the Obama Bloomberg extreme gun control agenda and Michelle Nunn is one of them.

The ads highlight the fact that Bloomberg has given the maximum amount allowable to Nunn’s campaign. They also point out that Nunn says she would support the Manchin-Toomey gun control legislation that failed to pass the Senate in April 2013.

The NRA is spending over $750,000 on the ads.

Nunn is running against Republican David Perdue for Georgia’s open Senate seat. Contrary to Nunn, Perdue believes we already have enough gun control on the books. He says our problem is a lack of enforcement, not a lack of laws.
