Moms Demand Founder Embarks on Seven State 'Road Show' for Gun Control Candidates

On September 23, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America founder Shannon Watts embarks on a seven state “road show” for gun control candidates.

Stops will be made in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine, Maryland, and Oregon in the coming three weeks. There will also be a stop in Seattle, Washington, to push Initiative 594–the gun control initiative being funded by millionaires and billionaires like Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Mike Allen, and Michael Bloomberg.

According to USA Today, Bloomberg’s newest gun control group–Everytown for Gun Safety–will be running ads in Illinois and Oregon while the Moms Demand “road show” is taking place.

Everytown President John Feinblatt suggests the fight is over in D.C. unless there are significant changes in November, so his group is focusing on the states where they think they can win. He said, “Often, the way to move issues is to move them in the states. Our foot is on the accelerator in the states.”

Everytown is also collecting signatures to get a universal background check initiative on the ballot in Nevada in 2016.

On September 11, Breitbart News reported that universal background checks will require a gun registry because universal checks are unenforceable without one.
