Yet another scandal has hit the office of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, this time a close aide has been revealed as living with a convicted killer who has been known to call the police “pigs.” This scandal is yet another strike against the mayor as far as the New York Police Department is concerned.
Rachel Noerdlinger, the top aide to the Mayor’s wife has been seeing and living with a convicted killer named Hassaun McFarlan, a convicted drug dealer who is a known cop-basher.
McFarlan has been revealed to have written a lot of very explicit sexual comments on his blog, too, many filled with violent language and fantasies.
De Blasio has insisted that he has “full confidence” in his wife’s aide and no one is looking to fire her. Now it also appears that aide Noerdlinger covered up the relationship she had with this murderer during background checks.
As Fox News reports, “A top aide is living with a convicted killer who has often mocked officers as ‘pigs.’ The incident has enraged the police unions, who have said they don’t feel supported by the mayor.”
There are other problems between the Mayor and the police.
“The furor after an unarmed man died from a police chokehold has added to the tension. And the police unions object to the close ties de Blasio has with noted NYPD critic the Rev. Al Sharpton,” Fox reported.
The Mayor’s office denies the accusations.
