Anti-Semitic Graffiti Left on Wall by Robbers in Florida

Police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in Miami Beach, Florida where the criminals left anti-Semitic graffiti painted on the walls.

Miami Beach police responded to a silent alarm triggered by robbers in a private residence.

Determining that the thieves had already left the premises, police entered and found that swastikas surrounded by Stars of David were left painted on the home’s interior walls.

“I think it’s a terrible situation just in general,” said a neighbor of the home’s owners. “That anybody would hate somebody just because of their religion. But of course, as Jews, we’re sort of accustomed to that so to speak, though we shouldn’t be. And then to have it right in my neighborhood is kind of scary.”

Police are reluctant to call the robbery a hate crime and are unsure if the home was targeted because the owners were Jewish or if the crooks only discovered their religious affiliation after they broke in.

Anti-Semitic graffiti in South Florida isn’t an isolated incident. A wave of pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic vandalism began to hit the Miami area in July. Anti-Semitism has been growing problem in South Florida for several years now.
