Medal of Honor Winner: ‘We’ve Got to Put Our Foot Down,’ Support Police

Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer, the nation’s second youngest living Medal of Honor recipient and the first living Marine to receive that honor in 38 years, was awarded the honor for his actions during the Battle of Ganjgal on September 8, 2009, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. Now, the American hero is taking up a new cause on behalf of police and first responders in the wake of the recent assassination of two NYPD patrolmen and the ongoing unrest.

Meyer began his effort with a tweet that has now been retweeted almost 5,000 times:

“We’ve got to stop it somewhere. We’ve got to put our foot down,” Meyer said on Fox News. “We need to stand up and take action,” he added. Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com.
