Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest explained that President Obama wants to travel to all 50 states before he leaves office.

Earnest made his remarks as Obama traveled to Idaho, the 47th state Obama has visited as president.

When asked by reporters if Idaho was on the president’s “bucket list,” Earnest confirmed that. “I do think the president would like the opportunity to visit all 50 states as president of the United States,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll be able to get that done in the next two years.”

In 2008, Obama famously claimed to have visited 57 states during his presidential campaign.

According to CBS News reporter Mark Knoller, President Obama has yet to visit South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah as President.
