President Barack Obama tells congressional Democrats in Philadelphia that he won’t pick a team in the Super Bowl.

“I am not taking sides on that one,” he said, referring to the game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

He joked that Congressional representatives from New England and the Pacific Northwest should be kind to one another during the retreat.

“I want to just remind the New England and Pacific Northwest contingents, this is the City of Brotherly Love,” he said during his speech. “So regardless of what you think about Sunday, I want you all to keep it clean.”

The president is a fan of the Chicago Bears, frequently joking how poorly his team played this year.

“When the Bears are not involved, I can’t make predictions because I will get into trouble,” he said in 2012 as the Giants faced the Patriots. He called them both of them “great teams.”

In years past, however, Obama has indicated his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Other than the Bears, the Steelers are probably the team that’s closest to my heart,” he explained in 2009 as Pittsburgh faced the Cardinals.

Steelers president Art Rooney and coach Mike Tomlin both donated money to Obama during his presidential campaign.

“I’ve got some love for the Steelers,” Obama explained in 2011 prior to the team’s Super Bowl against the Green Bay Packers.
