The White House is spreading its message, claiming that President Obama’s executive actions on immigration reform are actually helping the economy, particularly in the state of Texas.
“Share the news: President Obama’s executive actions on immigration will add billions to the Texas GDP,” a translation of the statement read, posted on the official White House Spanish twitter account “La Casa Blanca.”

The message, posted in both Spanish and English, claimed that thanks to Obama’s actions, up to 743,000 more workers would be paying taxes and contributing to the state’s economy.
