After a blizzard that dumped over two feet of snow last week, New England now braces for a storm that could dump perhaps another foot of fresh snow on the region.

At the end of January, the first major blizzard of 2015 slammed New England with over two feet of snow with areas in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut registering up to 30 inches.

But this weekend a snow-weary region is expecting to get hit one more time with a storm that will bring a heavy snowfall of potentially more than a foot.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning starting at 10 p.m. Saturday night and will remain in effect until the early morning hours of Tuesday. The warning covers southern New England, including Boston, Providence, Rhode Island, and Hartford, Connecticut.

Weather watchers expect that by Monday evening another 12 inches or more could blanket the New England area.
