Jimmy Fallon And Michelle Obama Strike Out Trying To Make #MomDance Go Viral

First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to again promote her “Let’s Move!” initiative and celebrate the organization’s fifth anniversary.

As part of their effort to raise awareness for the program, she participated in a “mom dance” video with Fallon. Their own video has met modest success on social media, but their effort to spark a viral sensation appears to have flopped.

During the show, the pair challenged all the moms watching his show to put their own “Mom Dance” video online.

“Hashtag it #momdance #gimmefive, and let’s see it trending tonight or tomorrow.” Fallon said, encouraging his viewers.

At this point, it appears that the viral sensation has failed to launch. An extensive search of Twitter and Vine, only resulted in four videos from fans.
