Building up to his formal presidential campaign announcement, Dr. Ben Carson has launched a social media campaign on Facebook.
The former neurosurgeon will formally announce he is running for the GOP presidential nomination Monday in his hometown of Detroit.
Breitbart News exclusively reported that Carson’s campaign will call for the country to “heal, inspire and revive” following the seven years of President Obama’s policies.
“I wanted to pass along some good news regarding my announcement Monday morning in Detroit. The event will be broadcast on my website,” Carson announced on Facebook.
The event is expected to begin around 10:30 in the morning.
Carson is sharing photos of children and young supporters calling for him to enter the presidential race on his Facebook page.
He posted to Facebook Sunday morning, “My supporters have some adorable children. They are the future. We must not let them down! Send your pictures to pics@bencarson.com.”
