Florida GOP Offers to Help Hillary Clinton Talk to the Press

Hillary Clinton is quickly proving to be the most inspirational candidate of the 2016 election cycle, at least in terms of inspiring new levels of creativity and wit among Republicans. Clinton’s ongoing refusal to interact with the press — or, in fact, anyone other than specially screened small groups of supporters — has become a seemingly endless source of mockery.

As Breitbart News reported, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has joined in this game. Both Fiorina and Clinton were having events in Columbia, South Carolina on Wednesday, and Fiorina Deputy Campaign Manager Sarah Isgur Flores sent out a snarky press release inviting any media who were tired of covering the “Hillary for America but Against Transparency campaign” to come to Fiorina’s events. Fiorina, promised Flores, would “actually take questions.” Fiorina even held a press conference outside the venue where Clinton was sequestered away inside.

The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) had its own bit of fun at Clinton’s expense, sending out an invitation on Wednesday from RPOF Chairman Blaise Ingoglia to Clinton, graciously offering to host a press conference for her.

“Dear Mrs. Clinton,” writes Ingoglia, “The Republican Party of Florida is hosting a ‘Conversations with Hillary’ press conference and we are extending you an invitation to be the sole participant.”

The reason for the invitation is because “[t]he people of Florida are eager to hear an unscripted clarification” from Clinton about her mounting scandals — the secret email servers, donations from foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation, and “answers to why you continue to hold staged events with limited accessibility to the general public and media.”

“We’ve noticed that she’s having a very tough time talking to the press,” RPOF Communications Director Wadi Gaitan told Breitbart News, “so we’re going to help her out.” Gaitan added that Ingoglia had pointed out that Floridians were losing trust in Clinton, and all her staged events were not helping.

Ingoglia’s invitation promises to “take care of everything” for Clinton, “ from setting up the press conference with a podium and microphone to notifying the press and public.”

At the time of publication, Clinton had not yet responded to RPOF’s invitation.

Hillary Rodman Clinton
Hillary For America Headquarters
Brooklyn Heights, New York, 11201

Dear Mrs. Clinton,

The Republican Party of Florida is hosting a “Conversations with Hillary” press conference and we are extending you an invitation to be the sole participant. Our goal is to make sure you have the opportunity to address the important questions that have led to voters across our state not to trust you.

The people of Florida are eager to hear an unscripted clarification to your secret second email; an explanation to the millions of dollars your organization received from foreign governments while you served as Secretary State; and answers to why you continue to hold staged events with limited accessibility to the general public and media.

We want to help, so we are going to take care of everything — from setting up the press conference with a podium and microphone to notifying the press and public.

We hope to see you at the press conference following your event.

Sincerely,

Blaise Ingoglia
Chairman, Republican Party of Florida
