Jeb Bush: Trump’s Border Wall Plan Not Rational

On Wednesday, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plan to build a “great wall” along the U.S.-Mexico border is not rational.

After a campaign event in Iowa, a reporter mentioned that Trump said “he would build this really big wall along the Mexican border.” The reporter then asked Bush, “Is that something that sounds rational to you.”

Bush responded, “no.”

Bush, who has declared that illegal immigration is an “act of love,” has said, though, that giving legal status to illegal immigrants is something that is “rational” and “thoughtful.”

During his announcement speech, Trump vowed to build “a great wall… on our Southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall.”
