New York Police are now investigating a fight caught on video last week featuring a six-foot-tall, 300-pound man who jumped into a fight when his daughter was caught up in a melee with a pack of teenage girls in Brooklyn.
The video that went viral last week shows a large black man punching, kicking, and tossing teen girls around as a fight involving at least half a dozen individuals rages. The fight was between several black and Hispanic girls in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.
One teen girl who was injured in the fight told police that the father accompanied his daughter to the fight because she had been in a fight earlier with one of the girls present.
“We started fighting from then, and I don’t know, her father was trying to break it up in the beginning, and then he started hitting me, started choking me, pulling my hair, pushing me over the fence, I guess trying to let her win,” 16-year-old Alexandra Pineiro said, “and then my friends jumped in to defend me, and he started swinging at everyone else.”
Alexandra’s mother also arrived on the scene to see her daughter ushered into an ambulance and reported that her daughter was covered in blood and had several of her fingernails broken off.
The incident is being investigated by the 90th Precinct Detective Squad of the New York Police Department, but no arrests have yet been made.
