Does President Obama wants to declare June 26 a federal holiday? Some fake news websites want you to believe that.

According to stories posted by authentic looking urls such as washingtonpost.com.co and usatoday.com.co, Obama indicated in a “second” WTF podcast with Marc Maron that he would press Congress for a federal holiday for the LGTB community, which needs a federal holiday to celebrate the transformational Supreme Court ruling last month legalizing gay marriage.

The story also quotes Obama as saying that he will issue an executive order declaring June 26th, 2016 as National Equality Day.

The fake story has tricked several LGTB bloggers who have written up versions of the same story.

Others, however, are pointing out that the story is fake.
