On June 29, Jamymell Ray and his friend Charles Fisher arranged to meet a 12, 15, and 17-year-old in an Omaha, Nebraska, park to buy marijuana. Upon arriving, Ray and Fisher were allegedly fired upon, leaving Ray dead and Fisher wounded.

The 12-year-old, Jarrell Milton, was arrested nearly 400 miles away in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on July 7. “His brother Jamar Milton, 17, and Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, 15, have… [both also been arrested and] charged with first-degree murder.”

According to NBC News, Jarrell, Jamar, and Shuntayvious were all allegedly armed.

Fox 59 quotes Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine saying, “All three suspects had guns. Two guns (were) recovered. To have young people at this age involved in that kind of violence is very troubling.”

“Prosecutors said they believe the shooting was gang related and plan to try the boys as adults.”

Omaha Police tweeted a photo of 12-year-old Jarrell on Monday hoping that someone would see the photo and report his whereabouts. The photo was retweeted over 2,000 times, and Jarrell was captured the next day.
