During a campaign stop in New Hampshire Friday, Hillary Clinton shook hands with a man whose forearm was tattooed with the word “white.” The frontrunner for the Democrat presidential nomination published a photo of the handshake on her verified Twitter account. Later, without noting why, the tweet disappeared.

While no one has yet identified the man was or discovered the significance of the tattoo, these kinds of tattoos are associated with white supremacists, and white supremacists, going back to the Civil War, the creation of the Ku Klux Klan, and the segregated South, have always been closely associated and most comfortable with the Democrat Party.
