Comedian Stephen Colbert can hardly wait to debut his own version of “The Late Show” on CBS, and is greedily anticipating the opportunity for Donald Trump jokes.
When asked by reporters if Trump could be president one day, Colbert replied, “Honestly, he could,” according to Variety.
A president “with a giant swinging set of balls isn’t the worst thing in the world,” Colbert went on to say.
Colbert made his remarks during an appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour.
“Every little boy grows up believing they could be president of the United States. I’m so happy that little boy is Donald Trump,” Colbert said, insisting that he was praying that the egotistic billionaire would stay in the Presidential race by the time his show debuted on September 8.
“Please stay healthy until I get on the air,” he said, admitting that without a TV outlet he was “dry-Trumping.”
Can't wait to get on the air Sept 8th. Until then: #dryTrumping

Colbert also announced this morning that Jeb Bush would appear on his show for his Sept. 8 debut.
.@JebBush will be on #LSSC Sept. 8! My first GOP candidate! Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all.
