Snake River Shooting Products (SRSP) is now marketing a shotgun shell specifically designed to inflict maximum damage to prying drones flying over your backyard, front yard, swimming pool, or hot tub.

According to Popular Photography, Snake River refers to the shells as “Drone Munition.” They feature #2 steel shot and are shipped in packaging that urges buyers to “Prepare for the drone apocalypse.” And Ammoland reports that the ammo is offered in a “12 gauge 3 inch shot shell.”

Suffice it to say, a 12 gauge 3 inch shell holding #2 shot will inflict crippling damage to a remote-controlled drone.

SRSP cites the privacy issues associated with the increasing use of drones as a reason for the design of the ammunition.

From the SRSP website:

If you haven’t been paying attention to the news, or haven’t noticed the exponential growth of drones in the skies around the country, you should start! One of the fastest growing threats to our freedom, privacy, and safety, drones of all shapes, sizes, and capabilities are taking to the skies. The Drone Munition brand provides a cost effective solution as the Federal Government and States scramble to take action. From standard lead free solutions to electronic defeating loads, and extended range platform, we have the products to defend against the most sophisticated drones.

Breitbart News previously reported that a Kentucky father shot down a drone which was allegedly hovering over his property on June 26. The father’s daughters spotted the drone while they were in the backyard, and his neighbor talked of how the drone had hovered over her backyard as well—the very backyard where her 16-year-old daughter lies out in the sun.
