Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe reveals that the suspect behind the shooting of two local TV employees on live television is believed to be a disgruntled employee of the station.

“We know who the suspect is, we believe it’s a disgruntled employee from the TV station,” he said during a live interview on Washington D.C. area radio station WTOP moments ago.

Both employees, Alison Parker, 24, and Adam Ward, 27, were on a live report when they were shot and killed by the suspect.

McAuliffe said that he had just spoken to the head of Virginia’s state police, who confirmed that police officers were in pursuit of the suspect.

“What a tragedy,” McAuliffe said, revealing that he had just vacationed in the Roanoke area a few weeks ago.

He pointed out that the pair who were shot were reporting on economic development in the state of Virginia.
