They are opponents on the campaign trail, of course, but they will join hands next month to oppose President Barack Obama’s cash-and-nukes giveaway to Iran.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and billionaire GOP frontrunner Donald Trump will headline a rally on Sept. 9 at the federal Capitol. Cruz says he extended the invitation to Trump.

For his part, Trump says the rally is “essentially a protest against the totally incompetent deal that we’re making with Iran.”
The event, first announced in an op-ed by Jenny Beth Martin on Breitbart News, is sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. Co-sponsors include the Center for Security Policy and the Zionist Organization of America.
