A new Gallup poll shows that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is increasing his favorability rating among Republicans.
Trump gained 16 points in favorability within the past two weeks, putting him into the top six Republican presidential candidates in terms of favorability. Unlike Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s favorability rating has decreased.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appears to have improved his image among voters, as did both Dr. Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina following the August 6 debate.
However, three GOP candidates’ images – Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker – each took a dip.
Carson remains the candidate with the highest favorability rating and Trump’s the candidate with the most familiarity.
The Gallup poll surveyed nearly 14,000 Republican and Republican leaning voters between mid-July to September 1st. The poll had a plus or minus 4 percent margin of error.
