Prominent Tea Party leader Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots joined guest host Matthew Boyle on Sirius XM Patriot’s Breitbart News Sunday radio program to herald a call to action, urging America’s citizens to rise up and oppose the nuclear Iran deal, making their stand in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, September 9.

2016 presidential candidates Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Donald Trump, former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, nationally syndicated radio host Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Citizens United President David Bossie, Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), and a host of others are scheduled to participate in Wednesday’s event.

Martin asserted that the deal should have been treated as a treaty. Now, she says, everything needs to be done to stop the current nuclear Iran deal.

Boyle asked Martin if the Iran deal that has been submitted would prevent Iran “from developing an intercontinental ballistic missile or from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

“No. There’s no guarantee it will do that at all. There’s absolutely no guarantee,” Martin told the listening audience.

“I think that this deal actually will guarantee, it virtually guarantees that Iran will wind up with a nuclear weapon, rather than preventing it.”

Martin argued that the deal is worse than no deal because it releases billions of dollars that have been held through sanctions. She also cited chants of “Death to America!” from Tehran.

Boyle asked Martin what the average person can do to help–leading up to, during, and after the Washington, D.C., rally to stop the Iran deal.

First and most important, Martin commented, everyone who can attend the stop Iran deal rally in D.C. should do so. “We need you in Washington, D.C. We’re going to be on the West Lawn at one o’clock [p.m.], and we need you there. We need people to be there, and to show up, and to make their voice heard, and to let Congress know that the American people are against this deal.”

Next, Martin instructed, call your Democrat senators and Democrat congressmen, and ask them to oppose this deal, to block it. Listeners were told that when calling, they should identify themselves as a constituent of the elected official, recognize the difficulty in making a decision on the deal, and “ask them to put America’s interests first, above their party’s interests.”

Martin continued, “It’s very important that if they’ve come out against this deal, and they’re going to stand up against their party, and do what they think is in the best interest of America, that we thank them and encourage them.”

Those able to attend the rally will gather on the West Lawn, which is the grassy area in front of the U.S. Capitol building, between the building and the Washington Monument. Cars may be parked near Union Metro station, or attendees may take the Metro in and stop at the Union Station. The rally will be held at that location, but will continue through the House and Senate buildings.

Martin stated that the Iran proposal is not a done deal. “No votes have been taken yet, so we have to make sure that our congressmen and our senators understand that the American people do not want this and ask them before they go and cast their vote to do the right thing.” She continued, “We can fight on other issues another day, but this time, we need to stand united for what is in the best interest of America, the best interest of Israel, and frankly, the best interest of the world.”
