Hillary Clinton: Everyone Knew about My Private Email — Except the State Department

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s claim that “everyone” she communicated with in the government knew about her private email server rings false, according to a February 2010 email exchange.

Clinton’s own State Department IT Help Desk had no idea Clinton was using a private email address, which is why it was trying to contact her to tell her that her emails were getting “Fatal error” notices.

Clinton said in a Tuesday interview with ABC News that “everyone in the government I communicated with knew I was using personal email, but I am sorry that it has raised all of these questions.”

But State Department IT professionals were communicating with her, and were left completely in the dark about Clinton’s HDR22@clintonemail.com address.

A State Department computer staffer sent Clinton a routine email in February 2010 during one of Clinton’s three private server crashes informing her that “fatal errors” were occurring when people tried to send her emails. The State Department did not know that Clinton was using the faulty non-government email address.

“Ur email must be back up!!” Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin told her after Clinton asked Abedin what was happening.

“What happened is judith sent you an email. It bounced back. She called the email help desk at state (I guess assuming u had state email) and told them that,” Abedin explained. “They had no idea it was YOU, just some random address so they emailed. Sorry about that. But regardless, means ur email must be back! R u getting other messages?”

“I’ve gotten some messages from yesterday – how about you?” Clinton responded.
