GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio is reportedly missing another vote, this time just days after he said he wouldn’t miss any with “major national significance.” The Floridian has missed the most votes of any senator currently running for president.

Breitbart News previously reported that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump was right when he’d said Rubio has missed the most votes out of all the senators running for president on both the Republican and Democratic sides based on a nonpartisan analysis.

CNN reported Tuesday that Rubio will be missing a vote on defense spending, just one day after Rubio told CNBC that he wouldn’t miss any votes with “major national significance or one that would make a difference.”

Dylan Byers, CNN’s Media Reporter, was asked, “Just yesterday, Rubio told CNBC he would be there for votes with major national significance or one that would make a difference. You heard that echoed in that interview with Matt Lauer. What do you make of the fact he’s missing a vote on defense spending? Is that a contradiction?”

Byers responded yes, it is a contradiction to a degree.

Byers explained, “Rubio’s defense has been – one, I’m busy running for president and two, there’s more to being a senator than casting every vote. I would say for many conservatives, maybe present company excluded, the bigger issue is missing out on the Planned Parenthood votes.”

Byers pointed to Breitbart News, among other conservative news outlets, which have all criticized Rubio for missing votes on Planned Parenthood, although he campaigns on being pro-life.

“If you look at the media coverage of that, no one has gone harder after Rubio on that than say Breitbart News and some of those other right wing news outlets,” Byers said. “That’s clearly a sticking point for conservatives and also something that Jeb Bush can use to hit Rubio and has.”
